SŌL Bakehouse: Top Cafe in Guelph for Artisan Pastries, Specialty Coffee & Cozy Vibes

I am OBSESSED with this cafe. I was beyond impressed with my whole experience. The service was excellent — both baristas & the owner were so sweet to talk to & provided great recommendations. Their almond croissant & pistachio cookie were stand out, along with their butterfly & salted caramel lattes. Rarely do I find bakeries have unique flavours, yet this place exceeded my expectations across the board. The interior is stunning & very spacious. I’ll definitely be back!

This Cafe & Bakery blew my expectations. The vibes are modern and cozy. Lots of seating with many plugs for laptop. The croissants, cookies, and Iced Strawberry Matcha was amazing. The best in Guelph. Great service and friendly staff. I will be definitely coming back for more as their menu looks amazing.

Let me tell you, the current 5 stars review is no joke! As an avid cafe-goer (and student), my standard for drinks, ambience and service is quite high, however, this cafe definitely went past my expectations. The barista was so friendly and nice, and really made my matcha beautifully (great colour and creaminess). They use top-notch ingredients, reflecting the price of their drinks. One thing I especially enjoyed was that they leave a bottle of classic syrup for you to adjust your own sweetness level! They also offer some bakery treats and goodies made in-house, something I will be taking advantage of in my next visit. There is lots of seating and a decent amount of plugs; something that is rare amongst Guelph cafes. Overall, great place to come whether it be for catching up with your girlie or studying !

My friends and I came on a rather busy Sunday lunch time but still managed to find a seat and our food came out pretty quick. There's currently no order notification system so you just have to watch out for someone bringing food/drinks out or go check the counter occasionally when it's busy. The food is DELICIOUS, I highly recommend the nutella strawberry mascarpone for something sweet and the turkey pesto for something savoury. The blueberry matcha is kind of unique but the blueberry flavour is not very noticeable so I think I'd try something else next time. Interior is bright and beautiful, perfect for a day of productivity or catching up with friends.

Came here today with a friend for the first time. We had a couple of london fogs and split a loaf of the rye/sourdough to take home. The tea was lovely and absolutely lovely touch of adding a birthday stamp onto mine as the barista heard my friend say we were there celebrating my birthday. It was busy but we were able to find a table. There's lots of small tables available including some along the windows in front of the counter. Will have to come back to try some of their pastries.

My new favourite local cafe! The pastries and coffee were delicious. Staff were super friendly and efficient even during a busy rush. I love the ambiance of the place as well! I can’t wait to come back!

Was so excited to try this new cafe! It looks very modern and feels cozy. The staff is super sweet as well. The strawberry matcha is really good and I also tried a savoury and sweet croissant. Definitely recommend this place!

What a wonderful find! We enjoyed a relaxing breakfast here and were impressed by the delicious food and drinks, as well as the superb atmosphere. We’ll definitely return and have already recommended this spot to several friends. Its location by the walking and biking river trail is a bonus. Thank you for an excellent experience.
